Brenda Bowman is a mixed-media artist whose intuitive paintings are inspired by the beauty of nature, travel, and everyday moments of discovery. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, she creates richly layered compositions that invite viewers to explore color, texture, and movement while finding their own personal connections within each piece. 

Following retirement from a rich career in hospital administration and nonprofit leadership, Brenda devoted herself to creating art. With no previous formal training, she recognized the importance of finding her community, joined a local art league and has since studied with numerous local and nationally recognized artists, continually expanding her artistic voice.

 

Her paintings are now included in private collections across the United States, and she has received numerous awards including Best of Show and Community Choice honors. Her work is displayed in studio at the Fort Bend Art Center, and she is represented by Texas Coastal Artists in Galveston and Brookwood Community Gallery in Brookshire. She has participated in private group exhibits at The Houston Club, the Fort Bend Museum, The Cloisters in Houston and numerous locations throughout Fort Bend County. She serves on the Boards of the Lone Star Art Guild and the Art League Fort Bend, and is a member of Women in the Visual and Literary Arts, Watercolor Art Society Houston, and the Houston Area Art Tribe.
